But tehy are not anti war stickers, they are just saying that Malaysia is a peaceful country...
Naturally, that would not be totally against this farce in a sand trap, would they |

Is it a statement from Minardi or a statement from the government of Malaysia?

Malaysia. The country has a very large Muslim population, so it's not really suprising.

It's funny how the word 'peace' can spark so much emotion in people these days. Saying it in parts of the US can get you into jail if you're not too careful.

the guy on the left next to Jos is Malaysia's minister of sports and youth, they payed for the stickers and may continue to sponsor Minardi during the rest of the season(with this peace message or with Malaysia promotion) Last edited by steve nielsen; 23 Mar 2003 at 19:01. |

Its great to see that Peace is now a sponsor
War has a far greater budget than Peace which explains why War gets far greater press coverage. It would be even better to see Love as the major sponsor, but right now methinks we should give Peace a chance |

Peace does'nt belong on a race track, no matter how much money he's bringing to the team.
What experience doe he have? None. Give the drive to Yoong. |

Personally I think peace has been given a chance, 12 years chance in fact. 12 years of diplomacy, 6 years of economic sanctions. And in all that time it hasn't achieved squat because one S.H. spent more money on the military than he did on his own peoples welfare.
I'd say there's been alot of leeway shown considering that the terms for peace in the gulf in the very first UN resolution was that he get rid of all weapons of mass destruction which Blix has come out and said, publicly, that he did not and more than likely has not. He's had a decade to do it, failed, and now everyone says that peace should be given a chance? The first thing he did after the UN stopped fighting his own troops was drain the marshes in the southeast and hunt down the Marsh Arabs there. Wiped them out, and destroyed the ancient marshlands. I know this shouldn't be a political forum but when people say 'peace should be given a chance' I know what they mean in the current political environment. I agree that peace should be. However, S.Hussein's regime has been shown 12 years of peace and that's more than enough to disarm. South Africa managed it in months. Last edited by golem; 24 Mar 2003 at 06:14. |

But as has been pointed out there are plenty of threads in there already. A question about livery has now been answered and resolved. To discuss the values behind them go to Poll:Tony Blair (and war speech)- Do you still back him? (merged) An Historical Perspective (Discussion for/against the War on Iraq) Anti-war marches/Blacklisting those in Hollywood (merged) First Fragging Incident of Gulf War II Poll:War With Iraq Thread (War topics merged here) War on the internet boards too.. That'll keep AMoffat, Diabando, Jay, Maisie Or maybe you'd prefer The old Gravel Trap thread - No politics, war, UN, weather or whining allowed |
