Marcel Costa in F3000
I know Gaston is not faster, but the reference of Costa slowest in the Jerez test seems to me interesting because it means the BCN F3000 team will be the backmarker this year. Costa had respectable results in Spanish F3 (I mean), and it is his first test in a F3000 car. Jordi, jjosseee, could you wrote there something about Marcel?

he deserves a better car? i agree, but he's using the famous cars of Nordic team,a so called champion team.
yes Mazzacane and Costa drove the Nordic cars of Zsolt Baumgartner and Thed Bjork. According to a swedish journalist friend,Thed Bjork is the most 'focused and talented' swedish driver today, and also his CV is quite impressive,he is swedish and nordic champion of kart, formula ford and f3.he was the top boy in Jim Russel school, and won the Nordic f3 with an out and out old car, first time he drove a prototype he won the Rolex 24 At Daytona and then won the Worldchampion title of FIA Sportscars series for the first attempt. ....in f3000 he always qualified the Nordic cars for the dead-last position on the grid....things like this dont happen by chance. Zsolt, since he left driving the Nordic cars (today the cars of BCN) he holds the trackrecord at Hungaroring and Magione, finished 2nd the tests in Barcelona and Misano...things like this dont happend by chance agian. well that much about the Nordic cars, but i could tell much more |

i'm agree with morcilman, and i think he knows very well the real level of costa, isn't it morcilman?. if my memory isn't failing he was you track rival in toyota formula, isn't it?, and in all case, you know him very well as rival of your drivers last year.
BCN hadn't great results last year in nissan 2.0, but the times of imola and jerez are finally out of all ranges. the aparent level is more than poor, really more poor that is reasonable. by this way i can imagine that they get sponsors... less drivers paying for the drive... |

maybe is not the car, but if is not the car he will get up to speed soon. It looks that he had some problems. I think that the team is not up to the profesionality to keep track with the others. the cars do not only run with a set up paper.

I think he's better then Servia, and look where Servia is now. At least Costa won an F3 race, when was the last time Servia won a race? 96 or 97 F.Campus?!?

He is not even a real champion of spanish f3,if Borja Garcia and Daniel Martin would have been
there for the whole season,Costa could came at best 3rd overall. And also spanish f3 is a joke there was only 10 full-time driver last year,so to take part in all races was already a good chance to win the title. |

I don't think Spanish F3 is a joke. After GB, French & German, it's probably the best F3 series. Italian F3 is a joke.
