Official V8 Supercar site a joke
I don't know what you all think but I rekon the official V8Supercar is garbage. The photo's for PI are none existant. They only have 31 photo's for the weekend whereis at the Clipsal they had over 200. And I doubt that they put anymore on it. Also they don't any good wallpapers or testing pictures or up to date sceensavers. Any thoughts??

they also have very little, poor information updated quite late.
Also, what really gets annoying, is the fact that before an event, they have about 5 drivers thoughts, with the subject "XXX hoping to do well" ......hhhhhmmmm........really? |

They are a multi million dollor organization. They take our millions and give us nothing back. The web site is really poor for such a 'supposed' best touring car circus in the world. One good point about it is it is easy to navigate.

Try having a look at the 'official results' as well - and if you want to use them to see how long driver XYZ spends on his pit lap, forget it - they have decided to not publish lap times for any vehicle entering the pits!
Talk about a joke........ |

Well perhaps that since the website is a free service it doesnt deserve anything like the attention it should be getting
Maybe they will have a pay-per-view section to fund it all... I volunteer to go to each round to upload their pics for them |

Considering how much money they earn I would think the web site should be free too. A lot of the time it is only a propaganda machine anyway.

They do have a pay-for-view section on the site which is for the Playstation 2 Live Timing feature.
However, this feature seems a wste of money to me as the only race we look like seeing live this year would be Bathurst and maybe the 500 ?? |

I don't bother with it- I like this place so much better, and you learn more stuff too.

Seems odd that it's Monday evening and the photos still aren't on the V8Supercar site, they are ALWAYS up by Sunday evening.....
If you're really in need of some photos, DJR has some pictures from the weekend. Some of the pictures really show how dark it was when the rain was coming, not like it looked on tv where you couldn't tell the difference..... |

For a sport that prides itself on it's technology i find it hard to believe & incredibly annoying that the organising body of our premier motorsport category in Australia can't update news, results, pictures etc quicker than they do. I suppose TC doesn't want the supporters to be too well informed.

I think the whole site is just propaganda, i mean, look at this:
From the V8 Supercar website "The first V8 Supercar round over the 300 kilometre "mini enduro" distance has been run, finishing in spectacular - if somewhat damp style - at Phillip Island yesterday " Would you really call the end of the race spectacular!? It was red flagged for christ sake!!! that's never spectacular! |

It was spectacular.... the tiny crowd (which I am sure in the Supercar annals was yet another "record") got drenched 2 days out of 3 watching a soft support card of MG's, Porsche Cup, a poor field of Sports Sedans, and the young guns in Formula Fords
It could be so much better, the track is magnificent.... |
