Friday testing thread - Austria
Just sitting here looking at http://www.formula1.com/timings/ and i'm happy to report that JPM is quickest so far 1.2 seconds and 14 places ahead of his team mate

(and yes, i know it doesn't mean much!)

It seems that most are coming out of the pits setting a quick lap and then any subsequent laps are slower. Tyre degredation as expected.

I've not been 100% following it. Does anyone else get that impression

A few drivers seem to be having trouble at the last turn , Kimi just went wide and got it sideways and so did Wilson .

WOW !

major tyre problems for one of the a Ferrari's , i think it was Schu's car ! . He just pitted , he's only done 20 laps and the front tyres we so badly blistered it looked unreal !

BAR's are very quick again. Very odd. Frentzen's not doing bad in the Sauber either.

M Schumacher has just gone off at the last corner . Just missed the barrier and continued with Dirt all over his tyres .

It's a shortish circuit. However because of the small gaps and the tyre degredation, I'm not sure how much we can learn - even less than normal!

Just seen a different set of Tyres on the Number 1 Ferrari . There was a blister that went round the whole tyre on the front right on the 2nd groove in . It looks like the Ferrari's tyres are getting shot very very quickly indeed .

so, do you think we will have shorter stints in the race, with a 3 stop with the Ferraris, and most probably Bridgestone runners. Putting them up the grid?
