That was a great one. Not much in the way of wheel-to-wheel racing, but certainly a lot of drama and strategy. Hopefully Montreal can be this good!

I was surprised by the low retirement rate of this race. I thought at least one of the lower teams would be in the points at the end of the race, but the top eight consisted of two Williams, two McLarens, two Ferraris, and two Renaults.
Excellent drive by Montoya. He was under pressure by Kimi for the last third of the race, and did not make any mistakes. |

And now the rains come. Did you see how shot those tires on the Williams were? This race could have gone from a great race to a classic if it lasted a few more minutes.

Another disppointment for JV. The Toyota held him up badly in his first stint. Then there was no way he was going to beat the cars in front of him later on in the race. Then bang...
JPM did well. Very well. Maybe he read me calling him fat and lazy. Excellent job. As for RS, well he messed up again. He almost afforded the Toyota a point! Think I dislike him now. Imagain if he had done that. Again good job by JPM. Awesome. |

Top drive by Monty, I do cringe whenever he takes a corner, knowing he has a bit of a rep for throwing it away.
It was v close at the end. |
