Eddie_harasym should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

I see an article in Autosport about the ESTC championship considering opting our BTTC rules an regs for 2002.

Could this be true? after all we only yet have one definate manufacturer that has said its going to run a few Radio Controlled Astras), so how can BMP say they hope the whole of Europe if not the world will opt for SP+ regs?.

Awww man, I guess my brain processed what I wanted to read and not what was actually said. SO the ESTC is thinking of adopting the new '01 BMP rules huh? Am I right this time around?

No, as usual you're wrong.

The ESTC will continue with the Super Touring rules for the 2001 season, before deciding on what to do from 2002 onwards. The most likely thought is the new BTCC rules, given that the Superstars formula is apparently looking rather shaky...

Nope, I'm right this time! I referred to the '01 BMP rules, but was commenting as to their '02 season.

If no other series lines up to run the BMP rules, will there be enough cars to supply the ESTC? Perhaps the ESTC has to run the REAL ST rules until '03 or '04?? Unless the teams intend to build their own cars rather than buying used factory cars?

So Mr Bain says he's on the verge of signing a ESPC deal to get them to run BTCC rules in 2002.

This is great news I think it will really strengthen the BTCC and I carn't wait to see the EURO showdown at the end of the seasons.

The return of a season ending race or world cup is interesting... But that means they have to plan their race meetings accordingly as well I guess.
