I have heard that Bryan Herta the Laguna Seca Wonder will be in the Player's car from Vancouver onwards, as the relationship between Patrick and them has been broken. Is this possible? Doesn't Forsythe hire Canadians first? Or are they so eager to get rid of Patrick that they are opting for the best available pilot of any nationality? Would this harm Patrick's chances of getting a ride for next year, if he doesn't finish out the year?

Well, the fact that they use Canadian pilots has been to continue supporting pilots from the Player's Driver Development Program.

Carpentier has shown blips of talent here and there. But, then Tagliani comes along and does something like he did at Elkhart Lake.

It's a tough call, but if I were Forsythe, I would probably stick with Pat. Bryan Herta has never done that either, and I suspect that he had a better car.

Bryan Herta has done 1 thins pat has never done. Win. Now, aside from Laguna, his results aren't all that inspiring, excpet maybe at Cleveland and Mid Ohio, but I don't think he had a better car, except maybe for the 99 season. The MB was certainly better than the Ford in 98, and prior to 98, wasn't Rahal on goodyears? I'd say thier equipment/opportunties were pretty much equal. So I'd say it'd be a tossup.

Is Herta still under contract to Forsythe for the Phantom Car that couldn't get a franchise? Perhaps that would explain the rumour?
