Thank you Steve Tarrant

I would like to pass on a HUGE thank you to Steve Tarrant who very kindly agreed to procure some autograph's for one of the ladies who was working on the entrance gate.

I had been chatting to her on the Fri and Sat and she mentioned that she normally asked someone in the top paddock to take a book with them and grab as many drivers as possible for their autograph... This year however, she had not done so and I offered to try and see if I could arrange this for her.

With the help of my mate Jon Beard (who was in charge of the radio's and swanning up and down the hill in a 4x4 pickup) a book was raced up to top paddock and Steve Tarrant very kindly said he would do this.... I have been told that when the book was taken back to her later that day, she was in total shock at the kindness and help that the marshal's had shown her... I of course already knew that you lot are a very nice bunch!!! (I have to say that as I am married to one!!)

So, once again a HUGE THANK YOU to you for making her day!!! You are an angel!!!

Whilst I was the one to get the ball rolling by taking the book to the top paddock, I cannot take all the praise for the results!!!!!

Once there, it was taken on by marshal Wickie, as many of the drivers stayed in or with their cars and I couldn't gain access to them. I believe he was parking the vehicles in their lines and then demanding signatures before releasing them!!!!!!

Well I therefore extend my thanks to Dave Wickham for his efforts as well, I will ensure that I mention it to him the next time I chance upon him at a meeting...

But as your name was mentioned as the culptrit........
