Carl Fogerty has said that he wants to get his big head into a BTCC car for 2001 because he will never become fit enough to ride a bike again. Do we want Mr Uphimself in Touring Cars? Or should we welcome him with open arms and let the boys nerf him out of the stadium, much like they tried with Nigel?

oh dear..yeh give him a car and see how good he is..interesting race it would be between Fogarty , wayne gardner , Aaron Slight and Didier Rodriguez..and ya could throw Kevin Schwantz and Eddie Lawson in there as well..is there anymore bike riders who have tried their hands at car racing ????

Didn't Foggy once test Tim Harvey's Pug at Oulton? I thought he did a few years back.

Yes, he had a drive in the 406 a few years back. It was just a stunt thing, they let hHarvey out on a bike too. They were both OK, but not likely to win anything.

I think Foggy could be quite good for Touring Cars actually.

Yeah, I couldn't remember the details, but thought it had just been a publicity type stunt. It'd probably be about 1997 time wouldn't it.

BMP said they were interested in celebrities joining in the BTCC in 2001: this is their perfect chance. Foggy's supposed to be deciding on his fate shortly, so they won't have to wait long to find out what he's doing.

Would be nice, as we'd have another driver to ARSE!! at for another whole season!! Kevin Schwantz did, if I remember correctly, drive a few races in the ASTC a couple of years ago. I seem to recall him going not-too-badly at Oran Park in a Mondeo (Crash Test, don't tell me if I'm wrong!)...

And let us not forget Captain Chaos, Wayne Gardner, in his fiery V8 racing days - Bathurst only now for the former 500cc champ...
