RIKB should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Anthony Reid struck the first blow in the night-time showdown for the Auto Trader British Touring Car Championship title, going fastest in floodlit practice at Silverstone tonight. The Ford Mondeo driver put his rivals for the crown in the shade, team-mates Alain Menu and Rickard Rydell only managing eighth and 11th quickest.

Said the Scot: "That's a good confidence boost ahead of tomorrow. It wasn't really representative because it wasn't fully dry, but it all helps. Obviously the other two were just messing around, seeing what's what, but I was pressing on in this session because it's the only chance we've had today to run in near dry conditions.

"The lighting here is great. It's light round the whole track and I feel you could drive without the car's headlights on, if you were allowed!"
