Gilles Villeneuve circuit

Is it the exactly the same circuit used for the Formula 1?

I wanted to see how the lap times compare,
The fastest time set this weekend is oriol servia 1min20.623. The fastest lap in the 2003 GP weekend was Ralf Schumacher 1min15.529

In 2002, Montoya got the pole with a 1'12"836s

To do some comparison with the F1s
Damon Hill got the pole in 1996 with a 1'21"059

F1 cars are faster, but not that much. 6 seconds or so. Let's not start a comparison battle

5 seconds this year actually...pole time was 1.19.665 by Tags... Comparisons are pretty pointless though, as they are very different formulas.

Now imagine the '99 spec CART car with more than 1000hp and a chasis that's maybe a second a lap slower than current. Who's faster now.

There is nothing wrong with comparing the two on times, 5 seconds dosent make one series better than the other, I am sure we all have our favourite though

The F1 cars are faster, there's no doubt about it, but ChampCars tend to provide more exciting races, especially before F1's latest raft of changes.
