Well Done Neil!
Neil Hodgson's clinched the WSBK Title with a second palce, behind Xaus, in race one at Assen.
Chili pipped Toseland on the line for third, Walker came 5th after a great start and a gallant ride, Lavilla fell off while leading, bith Laconi and JR broke down early, Corser starred by beating Haslam and Clementi for 6th on the Foggy machine. But the day belongs to Neil. Becoming a Dad and a champion in one week, you can't do bette rthan that. great to see his celebrations after the race. |

Xaus and Hodgson really put on a show, no safe points finishes here! Well done Hodgson, a job very well done.

any body think xaus should be checked to see if he has a brain?????????????????? the man is a psycho but he's fun to watch . i spent most of the races today hiding behind the cushion waiting for him to wiope out and take out neil hodgson. and jusat on ething for all those who said neil had it wrapped up weeks ago, remember yukio kagayama, one crash and he's out for the year, this could easily happen to anyone. well done neil its great to have an english world champ again

Yeah. But Colin Edwards can be like Xaus at times as well, except he always stays upright. Remember Phillip Island 2001 in the monsoon and Imola 2002 in the battle with Bayliss? He was in Xaus mode in both races Anyway, well done Neil! It's a shame that he didn't show this form when he was first in SBK, when he had better talent to race against. Well done to Neil, but as was mentioned during the telecast, he's going to be blown away next year in MotoGP.

Will be interesting to see how he fares in Motogp. I think/hope he does well but we will have to see. I think he will have the bike to be in the top 10 anyway.
