Montoya still in WDC by 1 point?

If he qualifies on pole at Suzuka doesn't he get one point?

And if he wins and MS DNF's, that's eleven points.

Isn't Montoya behind by 10?

Sorry Monty, the fuel rig will delay you again (how many times is this for him?) and the pit speed limiter will be claibrated wrong again! But, maybe he can put another great move on the other red car like he did today.

Unfortunately no amount of wishful thinking is going to get JPM back in the championship race.

A slightly related question: What happens in case of a tie? Racer with most victories wins it?

Err, nup they didn't have points for poles even back then.

Just imagine if they did- Senna would have another WDC at least.

Was it ever? I remember 1 point awarded for fastest lap, somewhere in 50's, but don't remember anything about pole.(other than prediction competitions. )

Of course he can, but not the championship, at least not this year.

Heres How:

Same thing happens as at Jerez in '97.

Raikkonen tries to pass Michael, Michael rams him.

Except this time (unlike Jacques) Kimis rad is damaged and he retires.

Michael meanwhile is disqualified from the championship like in '97, and JPM wins the race and the C'ship!

Just thinking... (I know this doesn't apply to Kimi and TGF) what if the two drivers have the same amount of wins? Does the driver with the first victory win the WDC?

PS Wishful thinking! I think Michael will be extra-careful not to do something like that

Yes. If it's still a tie, the number of second places is counted, etc.

If after counting everything, there's still a tie, I believe they'll toss a coin I always liked the

"Sporting reg, art 25) d: If this procedure fails to produce a result, the FIA will nominate the winner according to such criteria as it thinks fit. "
