V8 Point Scores
"All In" and "Adjusted" (ie dropping worst round) point scores are available at:
http://www.racetime.com.au/racenews/...8%20points.pdf I will update this after each race - so be careful if you look at it between events as it will take the first race of a multi-race meeting as being the lowest point score (intersting if the second race is abandoned though!). Should be updated approximately 20 minutes after results are posted. Note also that points are shown on the results available through RaceTime without having to go off to another page - Gold Coast link is http://www.racetime.com.au?event=g0304 |

It's shaping up as a great finish to the season.

Ummm not quite - because of the 'drop your worst round' that IF Ambrose has, say, a DNF - he only drops 96 points (he would have a zero to drop but GAINS the Round 1 96 points).
Similarly with Murphy - he would get to pick up 114 points if he had a complete DNF round... |

Looking at the adjusted points there is little between the top 3.
1771, 1681, 1645 for Ambrose, Murphy and Skaife. If there are 190 points up for grabs at each meeting, then Skaife could win if the other 2 DNF at just one meeting, with Skaife winning both rounds. And with Ingall on 1621 corrected, he's only 150 pts behind. Certainly he's in with a shot for a top 3 finish for the season. Are they gonna run this same point system next year? I certainly hope not. Oh for a simple, fixed point system for the entire season. And none of this **** about awarding losers points for not trying.... |

Another warning - be careful whose Adjusted Points you look at - AVESCO are circulating a set of Adjusted Points which are, yet again, wrong....DOn't know where they have got them from - but they have come up with some airy-fairy lowest point values they are deducting...

Rusty for the win, Ambrose for bridesmaid, and the other pair can make their own arrangements
Makes me a very proud old Caltex shareholder |

That would make all of my dreams come true! It’s good to see Rusty in a competitive car for a change. Now he just needs qualifying lessons, perhaps he could swap starting off the line lessons with the Murph and Skaife as a fair exchange? |
