Good job at CART official website
Folks,
I just checked the official CART website (http://www.cart.com) and the current homepage has a "spoiler-protection" that asks the visitor whether he/she wants or not know the results of the race at Surfer's Paradise. Depending on selection, the visitor is taken to two different (and equally well done) webpages. I don't know if CART has already done this in the past, but it is quite correct, and I just would like to post my praise to the CART web administrators here. By the way, CART's official website is one of the best official series website that I know. Informative, timely and well designed. Cheers, Muzza |

They have done this most times when the telecast was delayed... It's indeed a nice site

Great site, to be sure! But ever since last year's "upgrade", I've found it to be the slowest-loading website on the 'net! And I've got highspeed! Has anybody else found this to be the case?

no, I fly right through it. They do a wonderful job during live telecasts of covering the race as well.

The only thing I have trouble with on CART.com is speed on demand. The video sometimes freezes for extended periods. But everything else is outstanding and I think it's one of the best organized websites on the net!

Speed on Demand isn't perfect, but I think the fact that it's there at all is absolutely fantastic! No other pro-sport or league has that kind of coverage...

I follow many many sports, League or team site tell me a better site..
Cart is not a pay site like nascar is. It has live timing and scoring for over 3 years. Now has full speed on demand or watching replays. It has highlight video's posted, photos of each day of activities all year. And it is the easiest site to navagate. Cant ask for anything more.... |

I agree that the site is slow, some times it can be interminable jsut waiting for it to load a simple mainly-text page.
Otherwise it's an excellent site. I suppose they need to give out positive publicity considering how much negative coverage of CART fills the press usually. The spoiler-proofing is a particularly impressive feature, which make ssense as they need to maximise viewing figures (and less people will watch something they know the result of) |

"Do you want a slow racing website? Do you really want a slow racing website?" (that's me pretending to be angry)
Then go to Autosport.com... Now, that is slow! |

By far the best of all SPORTS sites going.
Well designed, tons of features and a live timing system that works. Truly a site for the fans!! |

CART is truly a SPORT for the fans!
From the guy waxing the engine cover, to the driver and the team owner, to the head office and the webteam, everybody seems to understand that the fan is #1. |

TSN, on the other hand, blurted out the winner and that PT had won the championship only MINUTES before they ran the re-air ON THEIR OWN CHANNEL! True, they were highly embarrassed but the damage was done.
I like being able to read the press notes on line, too, and the very complete race results make it easier for me to do the fantasy grid after the race. |

I feel that Cart should promote its webpage alot more on its broadcats because it is really the best in autoracing. have you guys visited the Formula 1 one its no where as useful as CART's and over and crapwagon and Nascar they want you to pay to see the circus, the website is what really got me hooked on CARt because I became a fan after Mexico City last year and then went back and watched all the races they had.

I agree -- they ought to promote it more and they ought to hire ME to promote it! Or anyway all of us.
