Nissan Cherry Turbo

My son is 18 and has a N12 (Cherry) turbo. Its completely standard he's dying to play with it but needs help getting hold of parts, company's names and web sites or e-mail address. He wants to find out the best way of doing things, what not to do and general info on the modding of them. Can anyone help him???

hmmm, i remember them,
i seem to recall that the "hot" mods a few years back used to be to fit an RS Turbo intercooler(escort) and a throttle body off a 2.0 primera, along with a bleed valve to crank the boost up a bit. sorry i cant help with specifics.

when they were still fairly new i had the honor??!! of working for Nissan, and seem to recall they ran best with the tappets a couple of thou on the wide side.

if your mods require a bit more fuel as the cars electronically injected a cheap and effective (if not really the right way to go about things) bodge to get a bit more fuel in is to wind the fuel pressure up a bit.

or rob the entire managment system of a Silvia Turbo,

as for the turbo itself try turbo technics, www.turbotechnics.com back in the 80's they turboed just about everything, so there a good chance they'll know something.

i think leda used to do shocks.
