A Friday on Belle Isle
Here's a new video...
(Hoping you've already checked out the one Adam posted for me) It's short, it's plotless, it's unrefined. But for those who have never been to the paddock before, it may help to parlay the ambiance. (Was that French?) Just a collection of snippets from a Friday at the Detroit Grand Prix. It's 2460KB, only 1:27 long. The Marlboro driver seen signing an autograph is Roberto Gonzales. Eventually I'll work on the Saturday tape... Right-click/Save Target - Friday Belle Isle Again, the huge (16.5 MB) highlight reel from Michigan 2000... Fantastic videos. The Detroit one makes me think I should have brought a video camera to Montreal this year. The Michigan one is as close as I can get to enjoying an oval race, which is saying something

Thanks MacDaddy. Somehow I find this "amateur" videos better than sine of the profesional TV images... (and I am not talking just of the images from last race at Brands Hatch).
Those images with the pit stops from the Penske and Target guys made me feel like being there. |

Thanks for the kind words. Good to know that somebody's enjoyed them! They were time-consuming, but fun to make. My apologies for the deterriorating audio toward the end of the Michigan vid. Didn't realize it until it was too late. (Same thing goes for the size of the finished file!) It was particularly hard to edit that original video, because it seemed to be one continuous highlight! Lots of passing, lots of pitstops...
