Sugo
Was there a press release or any reason given as to why the Sugo/Japanese round of the World Superbike Championship was dropped?

I haven't read anything, but perhaps it could come to the control tyre issue - as the Japanese championship would run on different rubber, perhaps the governing body think they would not get any wildcard riders to appear...

There were also rumours of the championship trying to get revenge on the Japanese manufacturers for not entering the series in 2004. Doubt this is the reason but anythings possible!
