2004 Fantasy Grid

Right, I think we have enough confirmed cars so we can start to pick our teams for 2004. Because some seats are still open, why don't we have a temporary rule that says you can hold one seat TBA til 10th April, if you think someone will be coming along that you might want to employ?

So, as last year, the rules are that each player nominates two drivers and one chassis, and gives their team a name. Each player may run only one team. Other rules will be published shortly but will be the same as for the last two years. Hard Charger points will still be given for those making up the most positions on the grid, to encourage people to take a flyer on employing an unknown quantity.

Do you need to have a press officer and what is his or her role??

You can have a press officer if you plan to release self-serving and gloating press releases after the race -- there will be a thread listing the points standings for each team for that race and to date, after the race, and generally we post our press releases underneath (explaining why our team was this week or why we won.

Sponsors are just for fun - I picked Mrs. Fields back when I had a team of portly drivers, and crayola because one of them wasn't especially bright. Then we could have a colourful slogan We ate all the pies! That is completely up to you, though. Some people also add official pit babes. They don't get any points though.

Last year moderators swept the podium. Wrex, myself, and Crash Test. Not that I'm bragging or anything. I'd be bragging if I told you the story about how Wrex must have cheated, and how I was actually the reigning champion, but I won't, so I'm not.

Maple City Racing will give it some thought and get back to you. At the moment we're pretty busy attempting to get a restraining order against Wrex from entering this league pending an inquest.
