PWRC / Group N

For several years the battle in PWRC/Group N is always between Mitsubishi and Subaru. Why are there no other WRC manufacturers (or car manufacturers in general) that build Group N versions of their WRC models?

imull has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
because they are the only companies that make a 4WD production car in large enough numbers AFAIK

As mull says, there are only really Mitsu and Subaru who make cars that are eligible.
A few years ago it was all Escort Cosworths, and before that Sierra Cosworths.
Come to think of it I can only remember then that the only other cars were the Galant, Nissan Pulsar and Legacy. Maybe the Quattro S2 aswell.
Was better to watch and encouraged more manufacturer involvement.
Guess most companies now just can't afford to build complex turbo 4wd cars for a limited market. Shame

Any mass produced 4 seat car is eligible for Group N, it's just that the only competitive cars are turbocharged 4WD cars, which are only made by Subaru and Mitsubishi, and previously Toyota.
