Team888 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Lowndes to stay at Ford.

Today in AA, CL confirms he will honour his contract with Ford, which finishes at the end of 2006. With which team is another matter. He wants to win the Championship in both makes so hopefully this should put to rest this "Lowndes back to Holden" shyte for at least 2 years.

The team he'll be with is the big question, Ford have to put him with a better team to reap the rewards of Lowndes massive talent.

Ross Stone confirmed they are happy with the two guys they currently have and do not want the added burden of a 3 car team.

Lowndes for mine will be at 888 or DJR, although i'm sure Mr.Gore will be yet another very interested party...

TSR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
He could also stay at FPR and work out the problems and turn FPR into a winner, he sort of said something along those lines to.

Its a damn shame Ross cant take Lowndes in place of Ingall!

next best is 888 he will win with them eventually.

Next weeks AA article (second part) should be intresting reading- Fog is spreading the juicy story over 2 issues!

Is Ingall contracted to Ford or to SBR? As even as a big Holden I would love to see Lowndes team up with Marcos.

There's nothing juicy yet for AA to tell. Anything other than the status quo that you read about now is pure myth. I can't say anymore.

Lifted from Racenews.

"V8 Supercars: Lowndes Sticking With Ford In V8 Supercar Championship Series (9262)

Former V8 Supercar Series champion Craig Lowndes is standing firmly behind a Ford Performance Racing team that is desperate for a top end result in this weekend’s fourth round of the country’s premier Motorsport series in Darwin."

Etc, etc....

This sounds a lot like when a football team's board members anounce their support for a non-performing coach right before they fire him........

From an outside contractor to FPR. Apparently they are being built by an ex-employee as well.

Chucky that is a load of crock. The new engine designed and built by a reputable builder is coming from the states.

The UK engines were duds. Made less HP and lasted as long as a Big Brother contestants career.

I don't know anything about engines coming from the US but I do know that someone in Melbourne is currently bolting togethor a pair of engines for FPR.

Crock or not.

Well, it would if Lowndes needed FPR more than they needed Lowndes...

Perhaps if the whole scene is looked at from a different angle_

Lowndes states that it is better for him if he wins a Championship in a car and team that has been built up for i rather than going to the best team/car combination and winning from there.

Also, could it be strange that just because Lowndes is acknowledged to be talented and very good since 1994 in touring cars that he doesn't automatically get the best car/team combination at Ford. After all, he's had that before. There are a number of very talented/accomplished divers in the series as well aa Lowndes. Is this argument based on past glories??

I understand a previous supplier to GSR when in Ford Credit form is taking a look see consulting role and nailing together a pair of engines for evaluation.

Will it help? Well given there are only 2 of them, they will likely end up in #6 and the spare for #6, while Seto wobbles on with the old craapers.

Craig working with Campbell Little exclusively at 888 to do the set up work on his behalf would be an awesome combination, where the engineer sets the car, and the driver trims it... rather than managing both jobs from the cockpit...

Roland Dane said he would take Craig if he was offered to him - who wouldn't ( which I find to be an interesting choice of words - don't you? Every other team principle talks about 'signing' a driver. hmmmmm.....), and that Craig is on his wish list for drivers for next year - so I don't know what sort of deal the current two drivers had in place, bu they should be nervous!

If I were a 1 car team I wouldnt take Craig... unless there is a competent chassisman as #2 who actually has a clue about setup, and can help C.Lowndes.... arguably Craig's biggest asset at the moment at FPR is actually Glenn Seton...

............Quite a laughable statement David. You do not have the technical experience for that to be justifiable to me. Your implication that CL does not know how to sufficiently setup a car is approaching the yellow line for a moderator
