24 and a Viper

Well the new Nations Cup committee has set itself a target of 24 entries, according to AA, for Procars next Round at Winton.
If your going aim, you will may as well aim high. I think the new Nations Cup committee formed is a great idea and in 1 Round since Oran Park they had doubled the entry list, so if their aiming for 24, they could actually pull it off.
Just wondering who are the people on the 6 man committee

From Procar forums it has been said that the Return of Darcy Russels Viper will be at Winton which should bring a few more fans to fence. Really looking foward to it.

AussieV8 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
As I'm on 2wks hols in June and Winton falls in the middle Janet and I are throwing in the camping gear firing up the Mazda Bravo 4x4 and heading off to see the race and camping at the track. I'm also going to enter the Bravo in the Ute Muster as this would be a first for a Mazda.

Given the recent controversy over the whole Procar series, I believe it is really important that everyone throws in behind the series to keep it afloat and a viable alternative to the V8 Supercars. What would AUstralia be with only ONE series - V8's, we would be paying through the nose for everything. Competition is good.

Not sure who the six man commitee is (I think Terry Little and Mark Coffey are amongst it) but hats off to Peter Boylan who is turning this series back into what made it work in the first place.

There was a lot larger NC grid at Sandown, hopefully this continues for Winton. Any chance of the Palmer NSX making it though after the blown engine?

Hats off to the circuit owners and Procar for the new pricing strategy. Really for $12 entry for an adult for race is amazing and should be applauded. Putting this into perspective, the success of this strategy led to Avesco downgrading the pricing at eastern creek to $25 adults. Now which would you rather watch

So I wonder what the NC grid would be like for Winton.

PROBABLES:
1 Lambo
1-2 Monaros
the 550
Several Ferrari's and Porsche's (I'd say at least 10 between them)
D'arcy Russel's Viper
The NSX which probably will be absent on raceday.

Who Else???

Noise around the place suggests Mr D.Thexton may make an appearance in the NC ranks at Winton!

Word around also suggests that Mr I Palmer won't be in the white Honda . . . instead something bigger and red.

I'm glad to see they're doing something to try and arrest the downward spiral. I guess canvassing the opinions of car owners who don't run reglularly would be a good start.

I would really like to believe that the Australian market is big enough to support two or three major series'.

The reason behind the 2nd Lambo not being present at Sandown was not enough prep time for the round. So it is hhighly likely that we will see a 2nd Lambo for Luke Youlden or Peter Hackett at Winton.

Who else, well those who own cars :
Mark Eddy
Martin Wagg
Rusty French
John Bowe/Terry Little
Peter Hills
Greg Crick
Peter Floyd
MCR Maseratis
Terry Little Porsche
the list is endless

I'd love to see Paul Morris and his team run a dual program with NC and V8's, GRM style. As Paul was blistering fast in the Porsche at Bathurst last year. Lets see if we can coax him into it
