Panoz GTR1 Question
As a fan of the Panoz, I was quite disapointed that the car was so far off the pace, particurally after last year's fifth place. I wasn't predicting victory or something like that, but why exactly was the car out of the hunt so badly and what caused it to retire?
Surely it wasn't the switch to the GTP. The GTP might have some disadvantages, but that can't expalin the drop in pace. Driver line up? Team? Funding? Preperation? |

Actually I do believe the GTP version of the car is a big piece of that puzzle. The LMP1 is far more competitive. Couple that with a team and drivers lacking the necessary experience and that about does it.
