In the magazine it says they are aiming for a full on attack in 2006 with the new shape civic, with a possible sabbatical in 2005. Arena are likely to keep the factory deal.
The new car would probably be built to super 2000 regs. |

It's also likely a "sabbatical" wouldn't have too much of a negative effect on 2005, as many independent Hondas will still be out there.

Three questions...
1. Why oh why did they withdraw so much support this year when they had a good chance of winning the title (with a GOOD driver)??? 2. Why use the Civic when the Accord has already been developed to suitable regs? Surely this would save time and development costs? 3. And what does the NEW civic look like? |

It'll have even more hideous headlights than before no doubt! I'm convinced that each new model that comes out, be it Honda, Ford or whatever make, its compulsory to make it 10 times uglier!

It's a pity they didn't have the budget this year to carry out a full campaign - for sure with a little extra development and some good (!) drivers they'd have been contenders.

2005 should be all about VX vx SEAT, at least that's what SEAT are building us up for next year. Just hope that we will have more manufacturers joining next year!

It'd be nice to see the new accord get a run out, along with Vauxhall's new Vectra.
It is good to see another factory team contemplating a full season. |
