Tarquini, Priaulx and Thompson are the fastest in the 2 practice sessions.

More like whats going on with Schnitzer! Dirk Mullers nowhere in either practice session. And Jorg's hardly fairing any better!

They have already won the Indy Cahmpionship, there was not a substitute for Paulien and so withdrawn from Dubai..
D'Aste 320i was not repaired in time for the races after his crash at Imola.. However he and Proteam will be back in 2005 with 2 cars, one for D'Aste and another one for a young driver (obviously BMW 320i)

Yeah but we all know how good the BMW's are at the start, the Alfa's IMO wont be able to start as well so if Priaulx goes into the first corner in the lead...

For the very first time, I'll not concentrate on Alfa drivers. Well....ok, not only on them I'm quite sure, that Prialux will win race one. But Dirk can aim into 7th-8th place, to get PP for race two. In that situation, it's gonna be very hard for Prialux to win title.

Anyway, good luck Andy !

I know it makes for good racing reversing the grids , but the tactical aspect of not wanting to win a race so that you get pole and no weight penalty seems to defeat the object of the best driver winning if your main competitor for the title ends up 8th on the grid with 40kgs of weight.
I don't follow it well enough to know who would be in the better position if non finishes due to being taken out were not included, but it seems that Andy deserves it more as he has had the most wins. I stand to be corrected if im wrong.

this could get interesting for Priaulx . if he can win one and place at least second in the other race . he can win it . with the "help" of the Alfa guys .. there are 6 of them + Rydell bettween him and Muller ...
oh man . i can't belive it . i want Andy to win it

Yuck, adverts!

Anyway - erm. Great job Andy (and Rangoni, but who cares)...

Does anyone know if the LG SRW programme on Eurosport (Europe) on tomorrow morning is the ETCC race? Or is it just the 'news' show? So do we really have to wait till Sunday morning to see it?

Seems like everybody wants Andy to win it (myself included) although Jorg is a nice guy too (unfortunately his chances are really slim). Oh, and I do care about Rangoni because Luca is an excellent driver. Always was in fact, from his F3 days.

PS I imagine the 2nd race will be thriller. A fitting end to an excellent season

In the Eurosport interview Dirk Muller said he was hit from behind by a private Alfa. I wonder if the car is damaged.

If there is any damage they've got just under an hour to fix it.

Huge crash and red flag. Difficult to say who's damaged. Rydell's car looks badly damaged, and a Peugeot went over the top. Priaulx's car has some bumper damage.
