F1 Seasons on DVD
I'm looking for F1 season reviews on DVD (possibly VHS) from 1990 - 2000.
Searching on ebay for individual seasons but does anyone know where I could buy them alltogether at the right price. Seems hard to get the early 90's... Help appreciated. : ) Alan |

On ebay watch you are getting "official" reviews - rather than illegally pirated compilations recorded off the telly.

Of course, we all know the "illegaly pirated compilations off the telly" are far better viewing.

Are the people who're quite happy to steal broadcasts in this way also prepared to shoplift? Or burgle houses?
It's all theft. |

It's all good!
I'm not breaking laws by taping off telly. And it's not as if I'm reducing Bernies income by taping the races, because they're not sold on tape anyways. Apart from cruddy season reviews. |

You can tape the races off television for personal use - no problem.
What you can't then do is make money by selling those recordings on ebay. The copyright is not yours to sell. |

I can never understand why the FIA has not brought out the 90's seasons on dvd like is that not a license to print money? I thought the best review yet was the 2000 season dvd...really fantastic coverage

The 2000 was good as it was produced with the support of the Playstation F1 game of the time.

And if you subscribe to Lovefilm.com they have lots of F1 stuff to rent, as most of the f1 stuff does not really bear repeated watching...

K-B, when posting something like this, you have to make sure that you are "whiter than white" yourself, and i'm sure your not. These things have away of coming back at ya and biting you on the bum Last edited by Mr V; 11 Oct 2004 at 19:08. |

There is no harm taping a race and selling it to your friends. Your only helping out those who maybe can't catch it and making a few coppers every now and then. Everyones a winner. Comparing taping the races and selling them to your friends and clasing you as a theif is just over-reacting. |

The whys and wherefores of piracy in any form is not really the remit of the F1 forum - unless you are considering this year's Sauber
10-Tenths doesn't support or encourage piracy. Thanks Last edited by Adam43; 11 Oct 2004 at 19:17. |

as luke said... taping races... distrabuting it to friends.. and taking money to cover the costs of the DVD and a little service charge... is not worthy of being labelled a theif IMO!

Crickey that was dull...
Back to the topic. I am sure that one day the official reviews will come out on DVD and I look forward to this. I hope they take their time and do them properly. Find the masters and do not rely on those dodgy quality on the VHS. Also they should think about a few extras, even if it is only the full results or specs of each car and driver stats. The '70s ones are quite good, if short. However they are limited by the poor coverage that existed in those days. The current multi angle DVSs of recent years (2000 onwards, although not all years) are good. Nearly as good as digitalF1+ was! On the vague subject of technology and improvements in coverage, when will we get widescreen F1? |
