Rollin thunder should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The $100 million dollar question

Okay guys, just imagine if you were the owner and boss of the Champcar World Series and you had $100 million dollars to spend, what would you do with the series? How would you run it? What would you change?

Run the races on Saturdays, every last one of them on network TV.
No conflicts with golf, football or NASCAR.

How much do you suppose it would cost to buy MIS?

A prize fund of $15m for the winning team and no other prizes.

I think you're on the money with that suggestion! Are there that many more people watching TV on Sunday rather than Saturday? I'd think it would be nearly the same. Surely the fact that nothing else is on Saturday would be a much bigger plus for CC then even a 25% increase in theoretical potental viewers.

$100mill? I'd buy IRL. That way you get your teams back, a bunch of engine suppliers and no opposition.

I'd fund a team to buy Danica Patrick's contract out from Rahal. Perhaps not yet ready for CC, but the future advertising potential is enormous.

She could be my personal secretary in the interim.

Speaking of Patricks, my first priority would be landing a solid ride for Carpentier. And then I'd work on doing the same for Valiante and Gidley.

I'd waste no time in signing LVMS to a multi-year contract, with the stipulation of an earlier green flag. And I'd try to double-bill it with NASCAR again.

I'd hire Bob Singleton to the front office. And while in the hiring mood, I'd take a good hard look at the Chief Steward position.

Perhaps I'd take all the money and buy Cosworth.

Or perhaps I'd take all the money and throw one MASSIVE 10T's party!

1. Ensure that all the current races and newer racces on the schedule are announced early and marketed heavilly.

2. Have 20 cars on the grid at every race.

3. Spend more money on feeder categories like FBMW, TA, FFord etc.

I think that's a BIG key to succcess.

I've been thinking about this lately, what is Cosworth worth? Perhaps Jordan, Minardi, one of the new F1 teams and CC should buy Cosworth. Neither Jordan or Minardi can afford to develop engines, but together with the new team they probably could have at least some development. CC could develop the next generation engine or keep it the same and allow Ford to badge it.

1. I wouldn't waste a dime on the irl or any of the teams or drivers. All would be banned permanently from Champcar if I ran the show.
2. A minimum of 250 grid girls at every race.
3. A new race in New York City, Boston or Chicago.
4. A proper TV deal with good announcers.
5. A schedule of 16-18 good races. Maybe 2 in Australia, 1 Asia and 1 South America race. 3-4 in Canada, 2 in Mexico the rest in the USA.
6. At least 1 new team.

i'd likely buy cosworth, and if there is anything left over
i would run the races saturday and saturday nights at select events
go for big city events (chicago, NY NY, san fransisco?)
keep ford badging and ask for volvo, mazda, Jaguar to participate)
and the schedule is good i would run 2 Aussie races- as we are there already, and a japanese race (Tsukuba or fuji-). and south america would need a venue
