Jarek Janis

well all the talk of Surfers has been about Besnard and his performance (For's and against)

and meanwhile Jarek Janis has slipped under the radar a bit

How did everyone think he went ?

Ok he didnt finish the race due to a mechanical failure , but I thought he did a decent job.

he wasnt terribly slow all weekend and didnt stuff it into a wall anywhere and I think he a pretty good job for a guy Ive never heard of before.

I hope he does just a good a job in mexico as Surfers.

any other views ?

Solid job, as expected.

These are two one-off drives for him - he intends to be in the DTM again next year.

Not what I heard - but racing's a fluid business - things can change!

Ahh, but there's no iron clad guarantee that there will be a DTM next year with manufactuers pulling out and the WTCC on line.

There will be a DTM in 2005 - all the contracts are in place.

Opel's pull-out is for 2006.

They announced it well in advance as a courtesy to the series organisers.
