The only bit I can help with is that the race is from 11am to 5pm tomorrow.

Thats the bit I knew too..ah well I'm assuming there are no support races so a 9am arrival should easily be early enough.
I have just dug out the programmes fro 1963 & 1964 and they were held in August..when did it change to midwinter???

I expect in those days August was mid-winter. The climate changes over all those years have confused you.
Still you can always reminisce about how you travelled there and back, raced all day and when you refilled the tank you still had change from a pound

If you got there at 9.00, you were early as the fog delayed practice.

Sounds like a typical summers day at Snetterton then.

Did I hear tell of a radio discussion roughly thus.

Race control: "Start line, can you see the posts either side of you?"

Start Line: "I can't see the start line..."

Probably apocryphal, but nevertheless accurate. What a brilliant meeting though, had a great time. Who won? Does it really matter? And more importantly, was everyone ok as there were a couple of very bent cars.

We were discussing that if you placed all of the cars in a list in order of laps completed, how far up would the pace car have been. I reckon top 25 at least?

It was a great day, a truly different experience that's for sure.
Come the start it wasnt too bad really but during the mandatory 3 "qualifying" laps behind the pace car earlier it was reallly bad you couldnt see from marshall post to marshall post

Tell you what, I was in the 'Chase Car' & there were times when I couldn't see the car in front going own the club straight into Brooklands.
Thought the race went very well though.
