If you go to www.touringcarchallenge.com you'll see lots of info re the Touring Car Challenge part of the programme. News of cars, teams, drivers, calendar etc.
There is also discussion on the ASTC02 thread thast goes back many pages.

I know the Touring Car Challenge races will be shown on Speedweek (SBS TV) and Inside Speed (Foxtel) but I'm unsure what the deal is with other categories.

Very good question Kerri, it would appear that Winton have been dropped.

When I checked Winton's webiste they have The Australian Truck Nationals there that weekend listed above as, although it does say that it "incorporates the AMRS":

01-May-05 RD 3 Winton Motor Raceway
Is this whole series a stuff up like I hear it is?

Here is Wintons calendar from their website;

Gees Aquarius, let the series get going before you try to shoot it down. A lot of people have done a lot of work to improve on last year's success so why don't we just wait and see what it's like?

I totally agree David, I guess we will find out in 2 weeks time when we run at Wakefield.
I think it took alot of work and determination to bring these categories together for a National Series, so even though Aquarius is entitled to an opinion, I feel it is far too early to start questioning its success or failure (sorry Aquarius).
Everyone complains that there are far too many categories to get onto the other National meetings, so lets just be a bit supportive of individuals who are trying to put bums in cars & go racing at events other than State level meetings.
I for one am looking forward to attending these meetings & I hope the AMRS continues too grow into the future.
They are allowing categories to race who basically have nowhere else to go. (and that comment by the way is in no way meant to be derogatory to any category, just the facts, black & white).

I think Winton is a notable exception and not a stuff up. The core of this series is the APCC, GT Sports and F3. Other's, like the trucks, are using the series to fill up their year.

Yes, you are right, and I for one have been critical of all the glory going to V8's, so you have my support. Just hurry up and get it going/sorted.
