Nittymaki has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
BRC/BTRDA to return to Brands!!

Just looked on the rallycross uk webstie and noticed they have published their 2005 calender on their and it now includes brand hatch on October 30th.

Is this true I thought the brda weren't going to Brands on the grounds of cost??

Does anyone else have any nfo on this??

Nittymaki, if its published by the organiser then I suggest it is true.

Of course racing calendars are notorious for being provisional right up to the day of the event.

Brands was on the original calendar with a TBA date in October so I guess it's BA now Good to see a round at Brands, always gets a good sized entry and a healthy crowd (in terms of numbers anyway )

King Arthur should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I am reliably informed that Brands will not be going ahead due to the cost and that an October meeting is planned for another venue but that negotiations are still underway.

Will JP buy the GP rights and ask RSS to run the GP at Brands this year? The old GP's at Brands used to attract a huge crowd on Sat and Sun at a quiet time of the year for the track. He can't loose. Surely JP will jump on this and revive the best rallycross meeting in the world.

Thats a mouth watering thought and what an end of season finale it would be.

Any one got any suggestions where the final round of the season should be held as Brands has been ruled out over costs?

GP rights - good thinking. Having been involved in the hayday of the RallyX GP I know what the budgets were and they are substantial. It is the only place that can possible make it work. RSS to run it - I do not think so - JP will use his own team.
