P.Cummins should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Setanta Sports

Well its first coverage was shown over the weekend and I think it was quite good. They let us hear the team radios and, even though they did get a few drivers mixed up, I think they gave us some good info. Declan and Derek aren't exactly Murray Walker's but I prefer them to James Allen.

Although, I cant hear Gary Anderson (is that his name?) in the pit lane most of the time. Reminds a bit of John Watson.

Anyway, your turn. What did you think of the coverage?

All the broadcasters let us hear the team radios - everyone uses the FOM world feed.

CNN Turk shut up every time the team radio logo appeared, so I wonder if its a delayed feed?

Dunzer should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I subscribed to Setanta Sports on Saturday afternoon (99 euros for 12 months) as its the only channel we've got in Ireland which broadcasts F1 coverage. Looking forward to the first race of the season, I switch it on and to my dismay find that David Kennedy and Declan Quigley are the "commentators".....although I will admit that they were not too bad this time compared to last year when RTE had rights to the coverage. The RTE coverage was absolutely dire, although in my opinion Peter Collins was responsible for most of it. Thankfully he hasn't transferred to Setanta but I do see he's presenting the Irish Open snooker at the moment. He should go back to playing music on the radio............Another annoyance with Setanta is the amount of ads they were showing.

Coverage is good. I hated RTEs coverage. They knew as much background information as a spoon does of its former molten state. Seriously, I could do a better job. Really, I could (Hint: Hire me, I hate Opels)

Judging by your user name I think you like Setanta Sports or is the "r" standing for something different?

Well yeah. My username was commonly "Tsunami" but the disaster of December meant that I had to change after a particularly harsh campaign against me on another forum. Then I was "Schumacher" for a while, then I switched to Setantra, which is ironic because I will never be a sporting legend, and, to answer your question, the R stands for Racing.

Hard To Tell, really. I don't think so, though. And on ITV, James Allen needs one thing. The freakin boot.

Yes, I thought they would show Friday Practice. The breaks were between very long segments of the race though. Something like a break every 40mins wasnt it?

Setanta should have kept the same music RTE used the last few years ( Right here, right now - Fatboy Slim )
