diz should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Limited Service from Diz

My PC is crashing every five minutes [10 if I'm lucky] so I'm very limited in what I can do / reply to,
There won't be a newsletter for a while either.

If you need me, you'll have to ring

Any of you affluent FF drivers out there that would like to sponsor me a new PC or Laptop, please give me a call

Diz,

Take the side off your pc and look at the CPU cooloing fan. It will be a block of finned ally with a fan of abot 2" square on top of it.

If it has got clogged up with dust or failed, it will give the symptoms you describe - switch pc on, cpu gets too hot and stops. Cools down eventually and goes again for 5 mins.

If it has packed up, undo the plug from the motherboard (remembering where it goes) and carefully unclip the fan assy.

Go to any pc shop and get another one. £5 tops. Make sure you get a sachet of heat sink compound as well. Its a white paste which you smear sparingly onto the cpu. Alternatively the new heatsink may have what looks like a bit of tape on its underside. It melts when hot and is the heat compound.

Last time I looked the BRSCCNW site was down, I have given up with the FF1600 site, I drew a blank yesterday with MST, Oh and the battery has just gone in my keyboard. Now I hear there is not going to be a NW newsletter,
....on top of this lot Diz' access to ten-tenths is limited.........
Not all bad news then......

Woohoo! I've just noticed that Stuart has left himself logged onto the site instead of me.

Hmmmmm. Now then, what controversy can I stir up in Stuarts name?

Igor Biscan's late goal earned Liverpool a priceless 1-0 win over Bolton at Anfield to boost their UEFA Champions League hopes.
The Croatian ace popped up four minutes from time to sink battling Bolton and lift Liverpool to within one point of Everton in the race for a Champions League place.
