Spanish GT surprise - Ascari KZ1

This one really surprised me, it's the GT-version of the Ascari supercar that the dutch-british-spanish Klaas Zwart built. Never read a announcement of it or something, and there it is taking the first pole in it's first race. Not bad, maybe we'll see more of it? Does anybody know if this is a GT1 or GT2 car? On looks it's a winner imho.

Ah, must have missed that one then. I sure hope we'll see it in other races as well soon.

Is Zytek in any way involved in the KZ1? I notice that Ascari's race shoppes are listed as being in Banbury.

Would be good to see it in a couple of European rounds of the FIA GT championship then, possibly in something like G2? Afterall, entering different cars, such as this one (which really does remind me of a Ferrari 360), is something Stephane Ratel has been trying to promote...

When you buy a share in his race-resort you get an Ascari KZ1 (street- or raceversion?) for free. You need to have a decent car to drive at the circuit of Klaas

In this week's Autosport there is a little article about the Ascari KZ1.........it says a second car is ready....but no drivers for it.

Hey Bramzel, where did yue read that of the Ascari?

Read about it at DailySportsCar.com, and then checked out the GTSport.es site.
