Aaron’s 499
On Sunday, the NASCAR Nextel Cup goes to Talladega Superspeedway for the Aaron’s 499. All eyes will be on the DEI team. They have dominated the 2.66-mile oval track with six wins in the last seven races. Dale Earnhardt Jr. won this race four straight times from 2001 to 2004. He and his teammate Michael Waltrip are the early favorites to claim another win.

Well it was a good race until Jr tried to push his way to the front. Damn I hate restrictor plates.

Just read that the race had a Sunday sell-out crowd of 143000 spectators. That includes infield RV lots but not counting the race-day infield admission passes.
Not too shabby |
