letoile should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
MoscowLoop, my first track

Hi all. I haven't an opportunity to post on English much (just in RSC), so excuse me for mistakes.

I'm here mainly because of this subtopic. That's my first track. I've been making it for 3 days (1st day - in Paint , yesterday&today - on vector editor (Inkscape)&Photoshop). I think it is quite beautiful and interesting for racing. The main minus is a few places for overtaking (T5,T13) and T3,T12,T18 for some crazy drivers.

It's pretty long, yes, but I would locate here all turns making a track interesting and even amazing for driver mostly. All turns are my own but some are similar to some F1 Circuits (coz all tupes of turns of course are already existed). I don't wanna talk about turns - an info is on the map, lower number is absolute altitude of a point, but I'm not sure in this numbers.

Cheers!

I'm sorry, letoile, I can't open it. Since it's not that big, could you post it as just the image? Otherwise, you might want to use Image Shack.

No, I can't open it either. The link Lustig has provided should be fine for you to upload it.

Well, I've done of course but where’s the problem? It was .jpg file in .zip archive. Why have it attached at all, if it's not downloadable? Don’t understand.

PS it was compressed from 1600x1200 so the quality isn't great.

You can download it, but it was corrupted.

Great graphics though The track itself has too many hairpins IMO. I would probably connect T12 to T15 and cut out T13 and 14, and make T15 tighter as well.

Wow, that's pretty good for a first track.

Thanks.

But imho there are no “too many hairpins” – just 2 for 22 turns and about 7 km. This way I can say Bahrein has too many hairpins too (3(4) for 11(13) turns and 5.5 km). 2 turns are (T3&T7) low speed, others are faster. T14 is just a slight flat turn, that’s why I think it was better to name it as 13A. But maybe next time I’ll do a more consistent track because here I need to go back to my SVG file, correct lines, rasterize it, paste in psd file, brush etc…

Apostophe symbol means a turn is flat (full throttle).

I count 4, hairpins...

T2, 5, 7, and 13

But it doesn't really matter, you're the designer

I like this circuit more than your first one. One change that I would make is to get rid of the T1 chicane allowing the circuit to go straight into the T2 hairpin. I don't think that T1 offers much to the circuit and without it I think that overtaking into the hairpin might be easier. Like the rest though.
