GFS Marketplace 400
On Sunday, NASCAR Nextel Cup moves to Michigan International Speedway for the second time this season for the GFS Marketplace 400. Tony Stewart leads the drivers’ standing with a 105 point lead over Jimmie Johnson. Only four weeks remain before the “Chase for the Championship”. Those who will qualify are the Top 10 finishers and all drivers within 400 points of the leader. Among the drivers that have chance to land in the final 10 positions are Elliott Sadler, Dale Jarrett, Jeff Gordon and Kevin Harvick.

As far as I know NASCAR only recognise two digit race car numbers on the cars, although cars are entered as #192 and so on - a sort of (1)92.
For the Michigan race there's the #0 Gene Haas owned Chevrolet, raced by Mike Bliss, the Waltrips #100 Chevrolet for Johnny Benson and the #200 Raynard McGlynn Dodge for Carl Long. How do NASCAR get around three zero cars for the weekend. I know that Long didn't qualify, but even during practice and qualifying it would be nice if all cars had different start numbers. Jesper |
