Foster should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
ALMS LMP Lights?!?!?

Was looking around today on that thing they call the world wide web. Started looking at Mariantic...and something caught my eye.

It seems there will be an official supporting "ALMS Lights" prototype series in 2006 with entries such as this...(PS, anyone tell me what this is )
Than there are two pics http://www.westracecars.com/wallpape...Cars_1024o.jpg
and....
http://www.bardahl.com/images/3dcar.jpg

When you go to http://www.westracecars.com/, you get a good idea like it seems that there will be some sort of support class. The IMSA site has nothing on it.....so what gives?

It looks like a kind of a CN series. But its interesting that they chose a GrandAm DP team.

Ted Spooner who was the owner of the DP team is also an Executive Director of West Race Cars. No major surprise or coup there.

The car with the Bardahl livery has lines that are very similar to the new sports racer built by Lee Stohr....

It is not the former Van Diemen/SC-SCCA/Formula X-derived sportsracer (which is now under the Elan umbrella of operations within the Panoz Motorsports group...as of mid-August) that is allegedly the primary supplier of chassis for this Series...unless the bodywork was revised extensively since the SCCA Runoffs in mid-September...

Lee Stohr was rumored to be interested in this potential series as well...

I have shared my thoughts on this subject in other threads dealing with LMP3s, etc.

I won't rehash it here....
