DTM @ Donington
Just a thought, if the DTM were to return whilst Paffett was still racing in the championship, would you British fans and fans from other nations come and watch, as there could be a chance that he could win?

That'd be more of a trek than Donny but I'd still go.

I'd go if it was at Donington (I went in 2002 and 2003), but Brands is a bit too far...

Aha, thanks flor (How do you know this then??!!), it does indeed make sense - I noticed the HSCC had had their Superprix shunted from July 1/2 to May 6/7 in the last week or so.....

Brands I can do no sweat...Donington would require extra effort, but I'd find a way! (Unless it's the Mercedes Touring Masters...)

The problem is is that everywhere is always going to be to far away from everyone.

I've seen them on their previous visits to Donington & Silverstone in the past, so it would be interesting to see how they cope with Brands. My personal preference would be Donington however.

Has there been a decision on whether they will use the Indy or GP circuit? If they use the GP circuit, I will have to watch at Hawthprn, will be blindingly fast. If Indy, then has to be Paddock.

I've only missed two of them so far through unavoidable circumstances. The first two as spectator, the remainder as a marshal. It's one of very few series that I would consider travelling to almost anywhere in the country to attend. Why? Fantastic cars, awesome racing, approachable teams and drivers and plenty of appreciation for the marshals. If a series will go out of it's way to make me welcome, I'll go out of my way to assist.

By the sounds of things they should hold two rounds, one at Brands and the other at Donni Lol. Who would argue with that? Although it's not gonna happen.

I went to see the DTM at Donnington in 2003, that was a long day but well worth it. Brands is half an hour away so that would be fantastic - I just hope the series doesn't collapse before then.....

I marshalled the DTM at Donnington in 1991, that was a long cold weekend but well worth it. Brands is less 5 minutes away so that would be fantastic - I just hope the series doesn't collapse before then.....
apologies to BertMk2, but it saved a lot of typing |
