I'll put up my predictions in a few hours, but mabs, a word of warning... I made the mistake of picking MS to have a bad year in 2004... I was very, very wrong!
(incidentally I chose DC to win the Championship as well so it was obvious I had no idea) |

Based on momentum versus budget and infrastructure i have a sneaking feeling that Toyota may be in the frame
The WDC and WCC titleS maybe a little out of reach, but i think they will be front runners from the off and maintain it for the duration of the season. Why? Because Trulli only needs regular top equipment to win races and i think he's got a good 'brain' on him too. They probably have the biggest budget now and arguably one of the top 3 technical/designer guys in Gascoyne. I think that if McLaren can keep at the fron it maybe Montoya's last big opportunity to win a WDC, i think he will shade Kimi, but not by a lot. Ferrari will be at or near the front again and (i hope) we see Massa flourish and get a maiden win. Renault? i have funny feeliong they will go backwards with the V8 engine stuff, it's just an unsubstantiated hunch that's all WDC 1 Montoya 2 Trulli 3 Schuey 4 Raikkonen 5 Massa 6 Ralf Schu 7 Alonso (uncompetitive car, but shows real fight to land a couple of wins that he really shouldn't have managed) Honda may also be there or thereabouts. Williams may do a 'Sauber' and show promise early on before getting swamped as engine development kicks off big time. Red Bull will probably go the other way - not so good start but come on stronger as season progresses... Hows that for a summary?!! |

You see this is the kind of thread I like, a discussion where no one can be right! Saying that, I can see that you lot are all obviously on the pisco and are all wrong.
Note, no 11th team and I've accounted for Ralf's dodgy back and one of the Midland drivers running out of money. Constructors Championship 1st Mclaren 2nd Renault 3rd Ferrari 4th Red Bull 5th Toyota 6th Honda 7th BMW 8th Williams 9th Toro Roso 10th Midland Drivers 1st Fernando Alonso 2nd Michael Schumacher 3rd Kimi Räikkönen 4th Juan Pablo Montoya 5th Giancarlo Fisichella 6th Rubens Barrichello 7th Felipe Massa 8th David Coulthard 9th Jarno Trulli 10th Christian Klien 11th Ralf Schumacher 12th Nick Heidfeld 13th Jenson Button 14th Mark Webber 15th Jacques Villeneuve 16th Nico Rosberg 17th Tiago Monteiro 18th Vitantonio Liuzzi 19th Scott Speed 20th Ricardo Zonta 21st Nicky Pastorelli 22nd Christijan Albers |

Sensibly, I avoided posting in last year's thread, so I'm going to avoid posting in this one too.
Ah. |

Mabs, read the FAQ. It says do not quote an entire post just to make one tiny comment - garcon. Anyway, I'm sure he was just as serious as anyone else is in here! Last edited by garcon; 11 Dec 2005 at 12:16. Reason: pointless post quote |

I see most people don't expect much from Shumie and Ferrari next year. Funny how easily they discarded after just one year.
The Lounge King - You were about the closest to my predictions (please excuse my using your post, to lazy to do mine myself). So here goes.. [QUOTE= Constructors Championship 1st Mclaren 2nd Ferrari 3rd Renault 4th Toyota 5th Red Bull 6th Honda 7th BMW 8th Williams 9th Toro Roso 10th Midland Drivers 1st Michael Schumacher 2nd Kimi Raikkonen 3rd Fernando Alonso 4th Juan Pablo Montoya 5th Giancarlo Fisichella 6th Rubens Barrichello 7th Felipe Massa 8th Jenson Button 9th Jarno Trulli 10th Christian Klien 11th Ralf Schumacher 12th Nick Heidfeld 13th David Coulthard 14th Mark Webber 15th Jacques Villeneuve 16th Nico Rosberg 17th Tiago Monteiro 18th Vitantonio Liuzzi 19th Scott Speed 20th Ricardo Zonta 21st Nicky Pastorelli 22nd Christijan Albers[/QUOTE] Of course I might have my foot in my mouth next year, but then I already dit that this year! |

I am suprised about England's enthusiasm for the very not-wide spread, relatively low budget sports of Rugby and Cricket, when they have squillion dollar football and F1 associations at their door step?

I am very serious.
I think the current top 3 drivers, M Schee, Alonso and Kimi will finish in the top 3 next year. And it will be Ralfs last year in F1 next year. |
