Paul Morris L1 Licence For Sale?
Thats right, the recently acquired ex-Dynamik L1 licence currently owned and run by Morris under car #67 is officially up for sale!
Reports suggest the asking price starts at a mere 2 million for the single licence!! |

If this is true, is a franchise really worth 2 million.Considering what is cost to run a v8supertaxi team.

That is very surprising, after how long it took Morris to a L1. Why would he sell it so soon? I doubt anybody would want to pay that much for it anyway.

Wouldnt it be cheaper to just buy one of the spares that TEGA have sitting around spare at the moment ?
If the grid is undersubscribed now, it would suggest to me there is no demand for the 32nd license, let alone the PMM L1...... Unless of course somebody is trying to get a 2 car team on the grid and needs one spare TEGA franchise plus the the PMM L1 |

what if TEGA won't sell the one they have, that would make any available one up for sale worth more. |

Didn't Larko's L1 license allow him to run 2 cars. So why buy PMM's?
Or is this the first step to 28 cars. |

Could a PMM seat, namely Morris' here be evaporating, and Paul taking a nice, early retirement? Only speculation. of course.

It was rumoured at the time that LP sold his L1 to Gore for $3mil, so therefore $2mil is a 30% discount!!!
I find interesting that PM had been complaining for years that he 'only' had a L2 & fought quite hard to get one. Now he has an L2 & an L1... Well half of one anyway.... Speaking of which, does anybody know when it was allowed to split an L1 license? I thought the original idea for Level 1 & 2's was that L1 teams were 2 car & L2 were single car outfits (eg. PMM, Lansvale, Romano etc)? Damn, I think I just raised more confusing questions than answers!! |

I don't think this person would be using his own money to buy this franchise somehow.

Can anyone tell me why Paul Morris would sell his L1 when the team has so much invested in equipment and personal enabling them to build complete cars and also do updates on existing cars. I would have thought that the cars run by the team would be an advertisement for their capabilities.

Bizzarre............
This is the bloke that took AVESACO to court for a level one licence, and now they're selling the one they've only just aquired? Passion for the sport is admirable, Greed is appaling I'm finding it hard to get wound up for this season, and this sort of two faced ruthlesness, (if it's true!) explains why...... |
