Bosch coil for Motorcraft system
Hi, does anyone know the right reference for a Bosch coil to suit a Motorcraft system? I've been using an Intermotor 11030 but keep getting an intermittent top end misfire - I want to try a Bosch and see if it resolves it.

Thats what sorted our high end misfire recently. Took 3 carbs to sort it though.

Try changing the master switch, they are notoriously un-reliable, the vibrations seem to damage them.

Thanks, I've changed the master switch and heard about carbs failing but I change the coil and it works - for a bit, so I'm suspecting the coil at the moment. The ignition switch also seems to go pretty regularly but I've changed that again as well. Fingers crossed.

Bernard Baxter does a Bosch distributer which has the base plate fixed and the mechanical advance sorted for under £100.

I got mine from a Bosch agent, cheaper than Ford, the Bosch number was
V821F (121 100) BA. |

Thanks for the advice everyone, ran on Saturday with no problems. New coil and ignition switch. I will keep the details in case of any future problems.
Stuart Sanders recommended to move to a dry coil type for greater reliability, anyone else any experience of these? Thanks |
