Lydden September 9th - two races for £100!!

The BARC South Eastern Centre are running their "Festival of Motorsport" at lydden on September 9th and are running some special races.

One is an "open" sports car race and the other is for "tin top" saloons, with the saloons running on treaded tyres with trophies being contested in both classes.

Entry fee is £100 and each class will get two 15 lap races for their £100!

For more information or an entry form please contact myself.

I'm running on Toyos, so presumably the ashtray is eligable ? - do you know the proposed timetable ? I've got the entry filled out for the TRC rounds, but haven't sent it off yet - If races are spread out, I may be Mr Greedy and enter 4 on the day - I'm getting old and need to pace myself - can you send me an entry anyway, and mail me your new address again - I seem to have misplaced it already
Thanks
Alan

All the long circuit racing will take place in the morning. Practice from 9am racing from 10am to finish at lunchtime. These other races are to spread out the TRC sessions.

We will try and make it possible Alan. The DT&R races will be split, so that gives us more flexibility

I have a cunning plan.........................................
I may be missing the October round at Lydden, so I can get two lots in september - Only get back from Venice 2 days before October round, so no time to prepare the car, also there is a race I want to wach at the ring on Sunday - If I come down and watch on saturday afternoon, I can then catch the ferry and drive to the ring - watch the racing on the sunday, play for a few laps monday morning then back to blighty - I sort of got permission from swmbo. If it happens, I'll be doing it in her focus (although she doesn't know that bit yet)

Eddy,
Still got to sort out the correct information, butI'm told that the youngtimers race is on the sunday - I'll confirm it first - don't know if it's on the Nordschlieffe (?)
Eddy - are you coming to Lydden in sept ?

Yes, I will be at Lydden. Any other option? Don't think so.

Ah, missed that one at the Ring, getting old I reckon.

I can only assume that you have never been on the track the same time as me Jamie!
1300cc Mini on standard su!
I did once have an idea about some rope, an anchor and one Mr Thursdons car!
That might just increase the straight line speed!!!

Junior Ministox, probably about 50 of them, plus Minicross if they want to do the challenge like last year. All are welcome.
PM your address to me and I will send you some posters.

Minicross won't be able to make it this year, as they are racing at Blyton that weekend. Thanks for the invite.

Is Blyton a two day meeting now, I thought we had avoided a clash.
