More like "book the ferry to France for the 24 Hours".

Having said that if Peter Roberts manages to get the final support race out in time (as he did this year) I could still catch the GP and make the ferry in time.

Early Days

Its a month later for 2007, back to its normal position so doesn't look like it will interfear with Le Mans or the Nurby 24hr.

Just seems early to be announcing 2007 dates...think i'll hang fire for a bit to make sure!

Pleased to say that the rescue unit is already booked for the Quinton Stages Rally that weekend so I don't even have to go looking for something else to do.

Regards

I haven't been invited. and I don't think I've done enough meetings yet.

Let me rephrase, I have but not all of them got logged.

Is it worth it though, I mean, if I had been invited - is it a good meeting to do?

I guess No one has been ivited yet - a bit early!
What do you mean "Not All Of Them Got Logged"? If you attended a meeting surely you signed on?

It IS worth doing - every marshal should do it - then make your own mind up!

Hmm!
If you're a trainee, then you can't volunteer - full stop!

If you're graded - then you should have an MSA Number!

You don't need to keep a record of your attendances on a card - if the MSA need to check, they can contact the club for whom you signed on!

Once you have graded up from trainee you will be invited by the MSA...they'll send you some nice forms you have to fill in to prove you've done enough days in the previous season (currently 12 at your current grade) and then they'll send you some more paper work a few months after that.

I love the GP, have been to 5 (spectated 3 and marshalled 2) but I'm not sure about next year at the moment, had a bit of a disappointing season at the "big" meetings so I might give it a miss for a couple of years and then go back to it.

That's what I did - and was then encourages by someone off the Selection committee to volunteer. I did, and got a letter from MSA saying they were "Oversubscribed"
