Will they be moving round a lot?

I have the last race of 99' on tape (the wet silverstone)
and on it they played a collection of John Clelands "greatest moments", in the clip was a shot of Cleland and one of the toyotas (92') side by side, and they were slipping and sliding all over the bloody gaff.

Kelvin should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The cars of course will be fast at Thruxton, very fast,
sadly as spectators I fear we will miss a lot of it!!
Might have to wait for the TV coverage a week later to apprciate the race?

Well, they will if they have fuel pump problems...

Certainly, the new cars will be slower than Super Tourers in a straight line, so this could be a chance for the Class B guys to get in there, depending on whether or not they need to make a tyre stop, as they did last year.

I think I've just joined RickP's campaign to get you deported.
Just you wait until I see you again, I'll have a Mallettstick (tm) ready for ya!

BTCC at Thruxton

I didn't make Brands - after Donington then Snett on Sunday couldn't get a pass from the war office!
Can't wait to see them though...how do the new cars sound?
From what I have read on various sites, the racing was close and lap times same as Formula Ford...they are very close at Thruxton...could be in for a classic BTCC season...after all NASCAR only has a couple of manufacturers!!

they'll be a bigger gap per lap between class A and B then brands so i dont think a Class B will win it!

Thanks, Chris - nice to know that you're thinking of me!!

As for Thruxton, I believe that there is a chance, especially given that the fastest of the Production cars are close in terms of outright top-end speed. It all comes down to tyres and - given the problems encountered at Brands - it begins to look very unlikely...
