What colour waterproofs can I wear?
Hi All,
Having decided from my first couple of experiences that I have every intention of continuing with marshalling, I took advantage of the BMMC discount and ordered up Probans and waterproofs from AWS. Problem is, whilst my svelte, streamlined frame fits comfortably into a large Proban jacket and medium Proban trousers, the XXL waterproofs I got from them are too small! Being the largest they do, I can't get a larger size from them, so I'm a bit stuck! Do I have to have orange hi-vis waterproofs? I've got some dark blue trousers and a goretex jacket which fit comfortably, and won't clash with any flags. Are these OK? Obviously I can yank the jacket off quickly if I need to get out on track... Also, if anyone wants some XXL Orange waterproofs, just give me a shout I'll be at Brands for the BTCC this weekend, and also the up-coming Formula Ford and Formula Palmer Audi meets. Cheers, Chris. |

I wear dark green trousers and have never had an issue and know people who wear dark blue/black jackets so I think you'll be fine.

Hi chris,
If it doesn't clash with flags, you should be fine. Would recommend getting a hi-vis orange vest to go over the top though. Dark rain gear in heavy rain makes you a little.......lo-vis! |

You should be fine, But you could try getting some from America, they tend to go larger than us!!
Or you could try www.bestinthecountry.co.uk |

Just avoid red and yellow as already stated, but an orange hi-vis vest over the top is a good idea
