stephanie should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi from a newbie

Hi every one, my name is Stephanie, I'm new to this sight and i'm fairly new to motorsport. I'm 14 years old and I have recently started to help in the Assembly area at Cadwell, although I have also done assembly at Donnington and Mallory. I really enjoy motor racing and am looking forward to many more race meetings at many more circuits!!

Hi Stephanie,
Welcome to our mad world. Glad you enjoyed your weekend at Snetterton, they're a great bunch and I for one hope to spend a lot more time with them next year (God help them!). Hope you have many happy years in an orange romper suit and it's great to see someone starting so young.
Have fun, keep safe.

Does all this assembly work mean we have to make our own coffee in race control at Cadwell next year. Or maybe your grandad will take over the job??

Stephanie is the third generation of the family to venture in to "the world of ORANGE" and for someone so young she is so keen to get involved. As regulars to cadwell know she has been helping out with tea and coffee not only in race control but also marshals sign on. As soon as she turned 14 she then started assembly. Now she is wishing her 16th birthday would hurry up so she can work the bank.

I was the same. Young and eager. Infact I still am.

Remember some of us are black as well as orange.

A very warm welcome Stephanie. I was "Race Runner" at Snetterton in the late seventies, and couldn't wait for my 16th birthday when I progressed to marshalling on the startline. Don't let the orange people take advantage, or you will end up making tea all day and seeing no action!!!

Oops that's torn it! I have a son aged 15 and have always told him that he can't start marshalling until he was 16. Cos that's what I believed. Now I find he can start in the assembly area now. Does this rule exist for all circuits?, Silverstone for example? As soon as I get off the computer he is going to see this thread and I will be right the doghouse!! I thought I didn't have to buy the overalls, boots, etc for another 6 months. Back to becoming the bank of Dad!!

Hi Stephanie
You & I worked together at Donington (750MC). You were brilliant. Really glad you are enjoying the start of what, hopefully, will be a happy and safe one.
Best of luck next season, we will no doubt bump into eachother at some point.
Nicky
ps - you survived a day with Geoff (environment scrutineer) at Snetterton - that deserves a medal in itself
