Just seen on the Autosport website that Gary Paffett has qualified 5th and 7th on his German F3 Debut at Hockenheim, which is on new territory for him. Just goes to show that British talent (And I know a lot of you will dispute this in the case of Paffett) Should not be ignored, especially when the likes of Atsushi Katsumata and Andre Lotterer find Championship class drives in British F3.

Hmm, I see exactly where you're coming from. I upgraded from analogue cable to digital cable at the beginning of this year, so no DSF. I used to watch it a lot last year, for things like F3, DTC, DTM, and general national racing. Always used to be good, despite the language barrier. I followed Ken Grandon with DSF last year, but now Gary and Andrew Kirkaldy are in it I haven't got the channel any more. Bummer..
And, to the doubters, what were the hidden reasons behind Gary's brilliant 2nd place? How did he luck into it? Just wondering, as I always seem to be ill-informed... |

BTW we may have found the next Schumacher in Frank Defenbacher, who qualified on pole and won both races. In the first he was so far ahead his manager was hanging out a "slow" board! |

Yes sorry, I just got a bit of stick for standing up for Gary a few months back so was taking the first opportunity I could to try and prove my point of view...And then he bins it in the next race...
I'll admit I didn't see the races, so I can't fully comment. I have respect for all the drivers out there, they are all good in my book, and I got a bit annoyed by people slagging Gary off earlier, as when I met him he was a thoroughly nice guy to talk to. Also - Kirkaldy did well to get 8th in the second race. Another decent guy, on a shoestring budget, he deserves the chance to do the whole season. Diefenbacher does look very good, championship tip? |
