More lamenting about how it's an unfair world and how good honest Aussies are always picked on?

Oooohhh, you'll burn for that.
Actually, Rob had a great offer for 2004 but chose a rather poor option instead so you won't hear any sympathy from me! Last edited by Chucky; 18 Nov 2004 at 05:13. |

He had a troubled year in Formula 4000/Holden/Brabham/Australia this year.
Does he want to go back overseas? |

Let me guess Chucky, the great offer was an over price Australia F3 ride that would have seen him graduate to F4000 anyway.
Your not a true Australian open wheeler fan, your just an ..... I suppose Ian Dyk made the right decision did he. Him and his dad are still ****ed about all you Astuti crew. The talk around town has Nguyen in GP2 next year |

pit fit,
You seem to be getting a little heated, please try and remember that we have a community going here, it is not a place where we come and shout at each other through mega phones. Debate is good, and is welcomed, abuse is not. Please remember that. Your friendly forum host. |

Our friend PitFit does tend to bark a lot, doesn't he?
He was offered an F3 drive in the period I'm thinking of but it was another opportunity OS that he passed on for whatever reason that I was thinking of. I think it was through funds which is probably why he ended up in F4K. Last edited by Chucky; 18 Nov 2004 at 22:32. |

I think Pit guy's bark is bigger than his bite. This clown has no clue of what goes on in the wheeling n dealings of motorsport. No Formula brabham/holden/powered by holden (or what ever they are this week) could come up with a deal as good, Astuti went above and beyond what was agreed apon.............

Sorry to disturb you...but who's this Rob Nguyen person?
Never heard of him, I don't think. Oh, is he the guy from Singapore who moved to Aussie? Hmm, if that's him, I take it back; I kinda know him, but never knew his name |

Oh, must be my memory then, or I have him confused with soemone else. I thought it was him climbing over the back of someone at Monza, hitting the wall at Monaco, among others. My mistake.

Nguyen: from the Asian Raikkonen to another talent in risk
I heard alot about Nguyen, but sadly I've never seen him on track because it wasn't any F3000 coverage here on 2002-2003. I have about him a few facts: one is that when Nguyen entered in F3000 after a single year in single-seaters, he was like "the Asian Raikkonen" for the form he entered in the series. After a 2002 in Astromega with a lot of promise and some solid drives but just a fifth place in the scorings, he did a superb work in his second and last F3000 year, when he drove temporarily for BCN and scored all team points of the year (5, one 8th and one 5th) in the two first races.
I think he deserves another shot... in GP2 if possible. Last edited by Mekola; 11 Dec 2004 at 03:28. |

Tore up a lot of equipment in a mechanical sense rather than wings and suspension when "competing" in F4000 pbH this season... the car was not well prepped, but I dont think there was a load of mechanical sympathy from the driver either
In a weak F4000 season, Mr Nguyen did not make himself a standout... |

On him not being a standout, thats a tough one. If not for the frequently sick Hocking mobile, I doubt he would have lost a race. |
