I have a question, after reading sorted story's on the v8 web page I sense that some teams thing going to the China race they are going to make something out of it. My question is What are they going to make out of going to China.
The lastest story I read is that P.Morris is going to try and make something out of China via Daddy's wine. Other team say in releases that there are promoting this and that for there sponsers. Is the China round GOING to make money for the teams or is going to money for AVESCO????????????? |

The teams are travelling to China for close to nix (I say close to.. as there is a restriction on the number of crew being taken for free, so some are choosing to fly them in using other methods) and will get a huge slab of appearance fees from the round. So they should be happy. AVESCO should make a small fortune too... although the crowd counter will be working overtime to make sure its a success.... |

Why are not th supertaxi's using the whole circut like the F1 insted they are use the 3/4 circut.
Can not the taxi's handle the pace of the long straights. |

I doubt there would be a problem with the straights... it would make the gearing difficult (with a different diff ratio required) but shouldnt be an issue.
More likely is closing off part of the spectator areas.... |

It was interesting that there was nobody from AVESCO or reps from the teams for the actual loading on Friday night, which incidently went very, very smoothly.
I was also suprised that we (In Pit Lane) was the only TV crew there. In fact apart from John Doig who was photographer for AVESCO there was no media there at all. BTW we interviewed Bill Gibson of Gibson Freight who more or less confirmed what Anthony Tratt said on Tuesdays show about this definatly being the first of many future OS rounds. As he said you dont spend almost 28 million for a one off event. The story on the V8 send off will be seen on In Pit Lane in a few weeks time after our coverage of the Sandown Victorian State Race series round from a few weeks back. |

Gess $28 mill for one rave and it is only for taxi's. I bet MELBOURNE do not spend that much on F1 evey year.
Sounds like Aussie bernies pockets is get deeper to hold all that money. What is AVESCO profit goging to be this year $700.million-- as it was 400million two years ago. Oh well Aussie Bernie might be able to buy a ship like that bloke you is 2nd in charge of Mircosoft. DREAMS ARE FREE. |

i thought they could of organised the freight a bit better, considering all the teams were in sydney it doesn't make sense to fly out from avalon. surely it could of been done from sydney

Realise that the cost of the exercise ($28 million) will be amortised across the number of years of the contract, but probably with a significant amount of that coming in Year One. By the way, there is nothing wrong with Paul Allen's Super Yacht, M/Y Tatoosh, nor is there anything wrong with his old/former super yacht, which he gave to his sister......! |

Actually JUST DO IT is was printed in Auto Fiction last year that AVESCO made $400 million in 2003 so Aussie bernie is really raking in the dollars.
And if you want I have pics of Paul Allen new boat called OCTOPUSSY if want I can pass them on to you and Aussie Bernie. |

Thats why Boeing changed the numbers of its newest airliner the Dreamliner from >> 7E7 to 787 .... lucky for the huge Chinese market of air travellers!!! Sydneysiders can see the poster as you drive away from the Sydney domestic terminal. so on that basis ....Lowndes in his 888 Falcon should clean up the round ..again!!! |

The bodywork is crinkled, in a similar way to Mr Wills tyre barrier impact early in R1... and it looks like there are still 4 wheels on it.... |
